Create Your Jobsite Emergency Contacts
Jobsite Setup
Project Site Setup
Responsibility: Superintendent
Refer to the Project Site Setup Guide at right and on the GRID. Contact any Granger resources you may need to setup and mobilize your jobsite, including the Yard, IT, MarComm, etc.
Dual Gate System
Responsibility: PM/Superintendent
If you are working on a jobsite that has the potential to have both Union and Non-Union trade contractors, you will want to plan for separate gated entrances. The referenced handbook gives a good overview of definitions, requirements, and rules for a separate gate system.
MOB001WI Dual Gate Handbook
Job Start-up Order Form (GCC Yard)
Responsibility: Super/Foreman
If you are starting a new self-perform project, and will require material, tools, and/or equipment from the Granger Yard, please fill out the Job Start-up GCC Yard Order From, and send the completed form to jhebert@grangerconstruction.com
Responsibility: PM
Jobsite Technology
About two months before your project mobilizes, IT will reach out to the Project Manager to set up a meeting to review your project's technology needs. During this meeting, an order will be placed for all of your project's technology through ToolWatch.
Jobsite Safety at Mobilization
Responsibility: PM/Superintendent
Jobsite Emergency Contacts
The referenced form should be completed and posted in the jobsite trailer near the entrance. This form includes the Jobsite Address (to give to emergency responders), Medical/Fire/Police Emergency phone info, the address and phone number for the nearest Urgent Care (non-emergency) and Hospital (emergency), and the name/contact info for the onsite Superintendent and/or Safety Supervisor.
Responsibility: PM/Superintendent
Emergency Contact List
A list of after-hours/emergency contact names and phone numbers for Granger and all of the trade contractors should be compiled at the start of the job and distributed to the internal project team, including the Owner.
Safety Orientation Presentation
Responsibility: Superintendent
There are 2 videos and a Site-Specific PowerPoint presentation that make up the Safety Orientation process. The files should be saved from the GRID to your project folder on the P: drive, as well as to your SharePoint site to share remotely with your team and subcontractors. For assistance with this process, email Erica Ross at eross@grangerconstruction.com.
ALL on-site employees that go through the Safety Orientation Presentation are required to complete the Granger New Hire Safety Orientation Acknowledgement form. Please save a copy of the signed form with your project safety files and email a copy to Denise Styx at dstyx@grangerconstruction.com.
Jobsite/Project Kickoff Meeting
Jobsite Kickoff Meeting
Responsibility: PM/Superintendent
The initial project team kickoff meeting should include an in-depth review of the site-specific requirements, work hours, safety requirements, etc. This meeting should be attended by the Project Manager and Site Foreman/Superintendent of all of the trade contractors that will be onsite.
This is a good meeting to review procedures for RFIs, submittals, monthly invoicing, document management (PlanGrid), change management, and LEED or commissioning requirements (if applicable).
Best Practice
Invite your Project Accountant to attend this meeting to go over the monthly billing procedure, necessary backup, and insurance requirements with all of your trade contractors.
