Internal Team Kick-off Meeting
Responsibility: PM
This meeting is held to make sure all Granger Team Members understand the project requirements, objectives, and scope of work. This meeting should be scheduled by the Senior Project Manager as soon as the project team is determined, and should include the Superintendent, SPM, PM, PE, PC, and Estimator. The referenced Project Execution Planning Guide should be reviewed and the Project Execution PowerPoint and Project Execution Data Sheet should be completed. This guide can be used as an agenda for this Internal Kick-off Meeting.

The team member responsibilities are defined and recorded, using the GCC Team Responsibility Matrix. The completed matrix should then be used to complete the Role Chart in the Project Execution PowerPoint.
Team Role Chart
Responsibility: PM
The team member roles will be defined at the internal Team Kick-off Meeting and a Team Role Chart should be developed and included in the Project Execution PowerPoint and posted in the project trailer. An example of a Team Role Chart can be found in the Project Execution Plan Guide.
Customer/Owner Project Kick-Off
Granger's RIGHTstart Program
Responsibility: PM/SPM
Granger’s Project Kick-off and RIGHTstart meetings are intended to provide hyper-focus on effectively transitioning the project from the Pre-Construction Phase into the Construction Phase. The program includes two meetings that occur prior to the start of construction. The intention of these meetings is to find out the Owner’s goals and concerns for the project and to outline a plan for construction so that these goals and concerns are addressed. The meetings provide the Owner with confidence in Granger as the CM and provide Granger the opportunity to get the entire team on the same page with the plan for construction.
Project Kick-off Meeting
Responsibility: PM/SPM
The purpose of this meeting is to review the project expectations and goals with the Owner and the A/E. It is important to develop a plan with input from the Customer and A/E, to ensure information is communicated in clear and timely manner to all internal and external parties that may be impacted by the project. The frequency and type of project meetings will be defined as part of this Communication Plan.
Jobsite Visuals
Responsibility: Project Team
Develop the site logistics plan, signage plan, phasing plan and milestone schedule, according to the Visual Development Guides on the GRID. Coordinate with Erica Ross (eross@grangerconstruction.com) to design and order appropriate safety and directional signage as reflected on the site signage plan. The Site Logistics Plan should be reviewed with the Granger Director of Field Operations and Safety Director prior to distribution.
Quality Control Management Plan
Responsibility: Superintendent
A site-specific quality control management plan is required on ALL Granger projects and should be drafted by the Superintendent and then reviewed by the PM/SPM and Granger Quality Control Manager. This plan is a guide for the quality management on your project, including CD reviews and updates, submittals, permitting and inspections, pre-installation meetings, commissioning, mockup coordination, non-conforming work and punch list items. The referenced guide is an outline that is intended to be followed when creating your site-specific quality control management plan.
Responsibility: Superintendent
Jobsite-Specific Safety Plan
A jobsite specific safety plan is required on ALL Granger projects and should be drafted by the Superintendent and then reviewed by the PM/SPM. This plan should include emergency contact information: emergency/first aid protocol; site-specific constraints such as shift work, smoking areas, restricted areas, etc.; identify all potential hazards that may be encountered by the public or onsite personnel; and required safety meetings/ documentation. The referenced form is a DRAFT outline that is intended to be followed when creating your jobsite specific safety plan.
